Offering Training & Development to Increase Financially Stable Young Adults
On any given night in this country 800,000 persons experience homelessness. Nearly 200,000 of these individuals are young adults. It is more important than ever that we develop measures to ensure that every young adult has access to housing and appropriate supportive services. We are making a conjugated effort to increase the quality of life for all young adults with special interested on the age group 21-30.
This project is designed for the sole purpose of provide a work training program to develop work skills that will equip young adults to obtain feasible employment in there are of interest.
The main goals are to help each young adult achieve greater self-determination, improved residential stability, and increased income through obtaining job training. These goals are achieved through individual service plans that are developed by the President, Executive Director, and managers with the input of each individual client. Each young adult who consistently follows his/her service plan developed Executive Staff, complies with the service plan developed and follows all policy/procedures of the program will be in good standing and may be considered a successful graduate of the transitional housing program. Successful graduates of the program may be eligible for additional supportive services such as rental assistance, relocation allowance and home furnishings, depending on the individual young adult’s need and the availability of funding
The purpose of this program is to obtain funding to meet the programs objective and that is to assist young adults with either enhancing their current skill/ trade or with the development of a new trade and skill that will allow them to become gainfully employed, achieved financial stability and independence once they have fulfilled service obligation.
This program will provide young adults with the required assistance that is needed to help them not only re-enter lifestyle but the current job markets as well. Services provided will include but not limited to; Pre-Employment Training, Training and Job Placement. Motivation is a critical emphasis. We believe that if we can effectively communicate our stated goals of the program and couple them with the desired outcomes of the young adults, we can develop realistic approaches to achieve the stated goals, and with the mutual commitment made between the young adults and the Corporation, we can ensure successful participation in the Job Training Program.
The criteria used to measure the success of this initiative has a huge projected success rate. We anticipate a 100% accomplishment of our program goals due largely in part to the target group selection process. The participants are those who are in the grooming of transitioning into young adulthood to become financially stable at the beginning of their adult life. Offering training and assistance programs are essential in this climate to meet the needs of home stability and family sustainability.
The heightened level of development we have structured in our training programs will increase as we bring on more partnerships with our community businesses. The increase in the organization we create alliances with will expand the measures of availability and access to job placement within our metropolitan area.
Helping low income adults increase their access to higher paying jobs will deliver an adoption of positive financial behaviors and accumulate and preserve financial assets pivotal to their success .
